Tonight’s Dinner: Lamb, Mint and Spinach Burgers with Flatbreads, Salad and Mint Yogurt


Tonight I had my lovely friend Laura over for dinner so I asked my fiancé to make his gorgeous Lamb burgers.

These burgers are packed full of flavour and are very enjoyable.

So what Ingredients do you need to create this beautiful dish.

Lamb Mince: Depending on how many your cooking for  (we used 1kg and we had 4 burgers left over)

4 onions (2 onions per 500g) Chopped up finely

small bag of spinach roughly chopped

2 handfuls of mint leaves finely chopped

1 tablespoon of tomato puree

1 egg

1 packet of flatbread

Rocket Salad, cucumber, tomatoes and radish

For the Mint Yogurt

1 pot of low-fat natural yogurt

3 table spoons of mint sauce

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 teaspoon of turmeric

2 teaspoons of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of chilli flakes

First thing that needs doing are the burgers, place the lamb mince, onions, spinach, mint, egg and tomato puree in a bowl and mix together with your hands. rolls parts of the mixture in your hands to make a ball, place on a plate and repeat until all the mixtures used up.

fry the burgers in a frying pan no oil is necessary, push the balls down with the spatula to create burgers. cook for around 20 minutes turning halfway.

While the burgers are cooking make the mint yogurt.

Tip the yogurt into a bowl and add the mint sauce, mix together until the mint sauce is mixed in thoroughly. add the sugar, lemon juice,chilli flakes and turmeric and mix together leave in the fridge until needed.


chop up the salad and put in bowl.

when the burgers are cooked, heat the flat breads according to the packet instructions and serve.
